HOFFER ON SPACE: No, Eric Hoffer didn't write any books on the space advocacy community, but much of what he wrote in The True Believer and elsewhere has applications to space advocacy as a mass movement.

Having at last retrieved my heavily-glossed copy of The True Believer, I plan now to work through the book, chapter by chapter, addressing the applicability of Hoffer's theories and observations on mass movements to grassroots space activism. I don't think this qualifies as a true "regular feature" of the blog, as I may do it sporadically and -- it being a book -- the finite source material implies a finite run for the feature.
