FMARS BLOG: Well, it's not exactly a blog, but the crew at the Flashline Arctic Research Station has been issuing frequent (ie: several times daily) status reports on operations there. Now if someone could just point me in the direction of the MDRS status reports... You know, I have to wonder why it is that the main Mars Society website is so hard to navigate? Surely they could find someone willing to overhaul the thing...and they really should do so. Even with my level of interest, I find the site frustrating to use, so much so that I am reluctant to go there if I think I can find what I want somewhere else. I can only guess how many casual visitors have been turned off by it. This is the primary reason I don't post a lot of Mars Society-specific news bits here. There is a lot of information available on the site, but the page formatting, visual style, and navigation are so inconsistent and nonintuitive as to make slogging through the MS site too much trouble. If a chapter with a suitable IT/web design skills base to draw on is looking for a Mars Society project to work on, here's one candidate. Posted by T.L. James on August 4, 2002 03:29 PM
