Ars Technica has a status update on Spirit. It seems at this point to be a problem with the rover's "flash memory", which is interfering with its ability to properly shut down and reboot itself. If so, the problem is not life-threatening, but it may seriously impair Spirit's operation and the amount of work it can be used to perform.
