Space Speculation
Mark Whittington (whose Blogger permalinks are -- mirable dictu -- actually working at the moment), makes some guesses at what the much-discussed but yet-unveiled Bush space policy might include. Posted by T.L. James on January 1, 2004 05:24 PM

If I had to guess, I would say Mark is probably right. At least I hope so. I expect a timeframe on return ot the Moon, with the Mars timeline more vague due to perceived unknowns. The component I am most optimistic about is the appearent preservation of the shuttle heavy lift capability. That will keep our options open once it becomes clear that on-oribt assembly of gigantic craft is not the best way to get there. Posted by: Carl Carlsson at January 2, 2004 12:54 PM |
